Obviously there are one or more files still present on my system which are causing this 'Volume License' splash screen to still appear. I uninstalled the old version following a uninstall video tutorial from Learn Logic Pro so was pretty sure I had done everything right. Since Windows 95, when you plug a new printer into a Windows machine, it detects it and offers to look for a driver. I was even more surprised to see that, according to the splash screen, I am still on a 'Volume License' (as per the old copy I was using). Thats the big lie pushed by Apple apologists for 20 years: 'You just drag apps to the trash, and YIPPEE Theyre all gone' These are the same apologists that mocked Windows for needing device drivers, as if the Mac didnt. When I decided to make the jump and purchased the full Logic Studio package, after installing all the DVD's and starting up the program, I was surprisd to see that I was not asked for any authorisation serial. I had been using an (albeit dodgy) version of Logic Pro 9.1.5 to see if I really wanted to switch from Cubase. ![]()
